Our featured speaker is Laura Gould, a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and co-principal investigator of the SUDC Registry and Research Collaborative. Laura has worked to improved forensic science standards through her roles on federal working groups such as the Scientific Working Group for Medicolegal Death Investigation (SWGMDI), the Organization for Scientific Area Committees (OSAC) subcommittee for medicolegal death investigation, and the National Commission on Forensic Science.
This conference is designed for medical examiners, deputy medical examiners, and additional medical examiner personnel including medicolegal death investigators, forensic scientists, administrators, and other professionals working within or affiliated with a county.
