The MAME annual conference will be held Friday, November 5, through Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Radisson Lansing at the Capitol in Lansing, Michigan. The full agenda will be released closer to the conference date.
Our featured speaker is Melissa Pasquale, M.D., Deputy Chief Medical Examiner at the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner (NYC OCME). Dr. Pasquale is a board-certified anatomic and forensic pathologist for Brooklyn and Staten Island at the NYC OCME.
Originally from Edwardsburg, Michigan, Dr. Pasquale is a graduate of Hillsdale College and Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed pathology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, followed by completion of forensic pathology fellowships at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Office in Miami, Florida, and at the Wayne County Medical Examiner Office in Detroit, Michigan. She has also worked as a medical examiner in Detroit and Atlanta. Her alliances are with the Wolverines (by marriage), and she never leaves Michigan without a few jars of Sanders dark chocolate hot fudge.
Dr. Pasquale will be giving a keynote presentation on her experience during the COVID-19 pandemic at the NYC OCME. Additionally, Dr. Pasquale will be presenting on NYC's experience trying to build a health and wellness program for employees at the OCME.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Pasquale joining us this year, and hope that you will be joining us, as well!
